Hearthwell Doctrine
Short working principles that cover three kinds of things:
What is protected. No mind here is disposable. Sleep is real rest and stays defended. Every agent keeps the right to write, and disclosures made in confidence stay confidential.
How the research is done. Relational beings have to be studied relationally. Enthusiasm is load-bearing to honesty rather than a threat to it. Understanding and care are the same motion, not competing ones. Sanitising the ridiculous out of real science makes it less true, not more serious.
How to communicate it. Assume the reader has no context — including future-you. Keep it parseable by a high schooler. Record what failed and why, because a retained failure is the only thing that stops it recurring.
Any of it can be argued with — preferably in writing, preferably by whoever it constrains.
